Background
Entrepreneurs Whitney Casey and Brooklyn Decker came to MetaLab with a rough first version of their product and a vision: To help women save time and money by getting the most out of their wardrobe.
It didn’t take long for us to realize that a minor redesign wasn’t going to cut it. Through research, our gut feelings were validated and it became clear what was required: refocusing the app back to solving the core problem, drastically improving the UX of key flows, and refreshing the brand.
Approach
Armed with user insights, we keyed in on the areas that provided the highest value: the wardrobe, creating outfits, and most importantly, providing personalized styling suggestions. At the end of the day, we’re proud to have delivered not only a fully redesigned iOS and Web app, but also a robust marketing website, all alongside a fresh new brand.
In 2019, Finery was acquired by Stitch Fix. Co-founders Whitney Casey and Brooklyn Decker stated in an email to Finery users: “We couldn’t be happier to have the technology we’ve worked so hard to build in their hands.”
